Last night I had at least three different "dreams" of some sort of gun violence at three different levels in our education system. In these "dreams", kids were running, panicking, fearful. Faces of desperation, not knowing what to do, where to go. Resilient teachers and faculty members trying to calm everyone down despite the fear in their heads. This all happened in fictitious scenarios, but I still find it hard to even imagine what kids who have been in these situations actually feel. In one of these "dreams", my sister was crying, running to find safety. All of these kids were doing the same. That broke me.
America, what are you waiting for?
